	New Century Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (Formerly named ‘Jing Jiang Shipyard', established in 1970) is located on the golden waterline of the Yangtze River, 10 km downstream from Jiangyin Bridge, on the opposite side of the river from the Chinese open port of Zhangjiagang. The company owns a bank line of more than 3,000 meters, benefiting from all the advantages and good natural conditions of the Yangtze River. She has an expanse over 500,000 sqm, suitable for shipbuilding and is capable of building vessels up to 300,000 dwt. The company now employs more than 2,000 people, among them more than 400 qualified naval technicians and engineers. The capital assets of the company are around RMB 500,000,000.00. The main facilities are: · One building dock of 360 m.×76 m.×12 m. for 300,000 dwt vessels, furnished with one gantry crane with capacity of 600 mt. · One 'Step Type' building dock of 220m.×63m., furnished with one gantry crane of 100 mt. lifting capacity. The deep step is 220m. long and 34 m. wide (level -2.5 m.) capable of building vessels up to 50,000 dwt. The upper level step is 202 m. long and 26 m. wide (level +2.5 m.) suitable for newbuilding vessels up to 30,000 dwt. · One 500 m long deep water outfitting wharf for vessels up to 300,000 dwt. · One 304 m. long outfitting wharf for 50,000 dwt. vessels. · Workshops for plate pre-preparation, about 20,000 sqm. · About 54,000 sqm. for block assembly. · About 80,000 sqm. for block pre-erection and outfitting. · The auxiliary computer system for design, production and management performance. The company has reached the production level of 12 vessels per annum, of up to 300,000 dwt, and has sucessfully passed the attestation and obtained the certification of ISO9002. Since 1996, New Century Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has initiated among local Shipyards in China, the precedent of building vessels over 10,000 dwt. We have built many vessels, including for owners from Denmark, Bahamas, Greece, Germany, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, HongKong, and we have worked with the major classification societies including ABS, LR, NK, GL. Some of the vessels we have built, and are building, include the 73,000 dwt. Product Oil Tanker, 52,300 dwt. Bulk Carrier, 51,000 dwt. Bulk Carrier, 35,000 dwt. lakes Bulk Carrier, 27,000 dwt Bulk Carrier, 17,500 dwt. Oil Tanker, 14,000 dwt. Multi-purpose ConTainer/Cargo Vessel, and 12,000 dwt. Bulk Carrier. The development of New Century Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has drawn significant attentions from a large number of both domestic and international ship owners, and the continuous advances in international trading communications are contributing towards the further forward momentum of this company. During our current, tenth 'Five yard Plan', in completing the facilities, improving scientific management and absorbing new technology, we are determined to make substantial progress.
