	Chengxi Shipyard
	Chengxi Shipyard was founded in 1973 and it is one of the largest ship repair & building enterprises under CSSC. It is located at the lower reach of Yangtze River with a convenient road and waterway access. It is engaged in three main parts, i.e. ship repair, new-building and steel construction. Ship repair business has been developed tremendously in recent years with the improvement of professional management and technical renovation. The area of the yard spreads over 950 thoustand m2, river front stretches over 2000 m. A cliff-walled outfitting quay, 1180m long and 20 m wide,is equipped with five cranes 25 tons and two floating cranes of 60t and 100t respectively . Water front of the quay is wide and open. Water depth ranges from 8 m to 14 m and the main channel is 30 m in depth. Along the east wing of the quay, there are three floating docks for vessels upto 100,000 DWT , 30,000 DWT, 15,000 DWT respectively .On the west side ,there stands one newbuilding slipway for 15,000 DWT ships.In the west part of the yard,there remains a docks pit and one 50t gantry crane used for conversion of a floating dock for 100,000 DWT ship. Well equipped facilities for steel structure fabrication are also available. There is a dock pit for conversion of 100,000 DWT vessels and a slipway for new building vessels up to 15,000 DWT. The new building area is equipped with a 120-ton crane, two 40-ton cranes, gantry crane of 50 tons and complete set of advanced machines and facilities, which enable shipyard to build various kinds of vessels up to 15,000 DWT. With many years of experience, we built around 100 vessels, such as cargo barge, oil tanker, Lye vessel, dredger, floating pile driver barge, floating crane, 118 TEU to 345 TEU containers, 100,000 DWT floating dock, 8000 DWT Multi-purpose Container Vessel and so on. We build up our experience and technology through repairing and conversion of Chemical Tanker, Cement Carrier, RO-RO, LPG in recent years. We are making a solid basement to build such kinds of vessels in the future and hope to have a chance to cooperate with you in the future for a vessel up to 30,000 DWT.
