	Weihai Shipyard
	Shandong Weihai Shipyard is a member unit of the Shandong Shipping Union, the largest shipbuilding enterprise of Shandong province. The area is 240,000 square meters, 1200 workers and 280 engineers. On the 10000L slipway with 80L portal jamboree, 3 vessels of 15000t can built and 30 vessels of 7000t can be repaired. On the 5000 slipway with a 40t crane and a 20t crane, 4 vessels of 5000t can be built and 80 vessels of 2000t can be repaired. Weihai Shipyard has 3 pliers, depth is minus 3.5m, minus 5.5m and minus 8.0m respectively. All kind of new technologies are used to all ship-building products steel plate pretreatment, mathematical lolling, N-controlled cutting, no-surplus joining, automatic welding and so on. Shandong Weihai Shipyard has built 300 various kinds of vessels for domestic and overseas customers. In 1996.yard began to build vessels for overseas ship owners, who came from Liberia, Germany, Cyprus, Greece, and Holland. The vessels are reefer container ship, multi-purpose container ship. The quality is praised by ship owners and classification survey. Especially, the 820TEU container vessels, which is built for Germany ship owners are known as the first quality ship.
