	Dalian Shipyard Co., Ltd. was established through the overall systematic reform of original Dalian Shipyard, which was an old yard with over one hundred years history, being a large comprehensive shipbuilding enterprise to which China Shipbuilding Industries Corporation is the holding company. More than 2,600 vessels (among which, 816 Navy ships), in over 160 types, have been built here since the founding of P.R.C. In 1980, Dalian Shipyard Co., Ltd took the lead in entering the international market, and more than 70 exported vessels, totally 2.6 million dwt, exported to 16 countries of Asia, Europe, and America successively. The original Dalian Shipyard was titled Star Enterprise, Quality and Efficiency Enterprise, one of 100 Powerful Enterprises with technical development capacity and major shipbuilding & export base authorized with the privilege of independent foreign trade. Dalian Shipyard Co., Ltd. has rich experience in shipbuilding, skilled technical forces, and complete manufacturing equipments. The Quality system of Ship Hull Structure audited by DNV is conformed to ISO9001, Quality system of Naval Vessels, audited by China XinShiDai Quality System Certification Body and Approval Certificates audited for designing and producing pressure vessels I, II and III. There are about 5,000 staff and workers, more than 1,000 of which are technicians and engineers among which, about 500 are senior engineers. Dalian Shipyard Co., Ltd. is capable of shipbuilding, ship repairing and manufacturing various kings of marine electrical & mechanical equipments in accordance with the rules of classification societies such as CCS, DNV, ABS, LR, GL, BV and various kings of international conventions and standards.
