	Hantong Shipyard
	Hantong Ship Machinery Equipment (Tongzhou) Co., Ltd. (called Hantong shipyard) is a middle-scale, new joined-venture shipbuilding and repairing shipyard invested by Korean investor together with Nantong Ocean Water Construction Co., Ltd. It is a member of “China Shipbuilding Web” and “China Maritime Affairs Web”. The products will be fixed in the ship newbuilding and repairing between 20,000 ~70,000 tons deadweght, construction of large-size offshore platforms and steel structures. The company is located at jiansu , standing at the center of the Chinese economic developing area---along the coast of Yangtze River Delta region with very convenient water and land transportation. Apart from Shanghai – the international big city, the distance via the road only 140 km and the water 60 sea miles. Ship newbuilding and repairing are the pillar industry in Nantong strongly supported by the local government. Nantong area has geographic advantage ofYangte River , abundant resources in shipbuilding labor power and sound ship material and equipment supplier chain create great benefits for he company developing. The shipyard occupies 950m natural deep water shore len line of YantzeRiver, total area around 35 hectares. Main facilities and equipment are advanced and (see the details of “Introduction of Facilities and Equipment). On the management side, the shipyard engaged middle and senior experienced personnel from domestic large-scale shipbuilding enterprises with high salaries, set up very experienced shipbuilding management team, introduced into advanced shipbuilding management conception and fine quality control system, making the ability of production management and quality control of the shipyard reach the advanced level of domestic shipbuilding enterprises. On labor force side, the shipyard will utilize the extremely rich labor resource of shipbuilding in Nantong,us With the skilled workers with abundant experiences in shipbuilding as the Yard main work force, the whole employee’s quality will reach the first class of shipbuilding industry. On quipment and facility side, the shipyard invested in advanced equipment for lofting, cutting, assembling, welding, coating, hoisting and transportation etc. which improve the production efficiency, assuring the production quality, shortening the production period. The shipyard now is under construction stage. The 1st stage will be completed and ready for production by December 2005. The production capacity of shipbuilding could reach 300,000tons deadweight, with steel structure fabrication capacity of 100,000tons per year.
